SUPERBABY!

And his big brother, Beck. One of the largest projects we've undertaken was a backyard playscape for the kids. ('We' meaning most of the guys we even remotely know that were brought in for something here or there) The kids love it and have spent tons of time on it. So to get Bristol in on the fun we bought him a baby swing and he LOVES it. The pic captures a little of the joy - he laughed the whole time he was in it, it was greatness. Of course, Beck had to show off a bit too - he is a big boy and all. ;)

New park at Southpark Meadows

While Madalyn was at a sleepover, we went to the new Southpark Meadows shopping center at I35 and Slaughter Lane this weekend. They have an AMAZING playscape in the middle of all of the shops. Any south-of-Austin living parent should check it out. We had a great time.

Madalyn's Field Trip

I chaperoned Madalyn's field trip last Wednesday to Cabella's, Aquarena Springs, and the San Marcos Park. It was so much fun. It really made me so thankful that Madalyn is in the Dual Language program at Tobias - the parents are committed, her teacher is amazing, and the kids are wonderful. I was ready to go back to first grade myself. These are the things I learned on my first grade field trip:

1. School bus aisles are a lot more narrow than they used to be (or my hips are wider, but I prefer to think its the former)
2. Boys still have cooties, thankfully!
3. Ralph the Swimming Pig and the Mermaids are no longer at Aquarena Springs
4. The glass bottom boats are actually educational
5. All of those dead stuffed animals at Cabela's were 'harvested' (totally different than being killed-but you end up stuffed nonetheless)
6. Keeping track of four 7 year-olds is a full time job (thank heavens I ONLY have 3 kids, he he)
7. Having a well-liked child is a comforting experience as a parent (truly everybody does love Maddy Raymond)

Pictures are of my crew at Cabela's, us on the Wetlands Walk at Aquarena, and Maddy with Raven and Emily at the park

Powdered Donuts

Who knew that powdered donuts were so good? Bristol's first time eating them was an adventure, but he's definitely a fan!

Together Again...

One of my good friends from EY -Lesley- is getting married this weekend, so in lieu of a crazy bachelorette party, we all went to dinner at Z Tejas. It was great to catch up with all of my favorite EY ladies, and a fabulous end to a long week! Lesley, thanks for getting married so we had a chance to get together again- best wishes to you and Robert!! Pictured are me, Peggy, Stephanie, Lesley, Heather, Andi, Heather B, and Diana.

Bluebonnet Pictures

As part of the Easter tradition we also took some pictures of the kids in the bluebonnets. Ah, the tradition continues. And the picture of Madalyn - OUCH. We're getting the locks ready now, don't worry.

Easter Sunday

We spent Easter Sunday at my parent's house with them, Cody, and Julie. It was great food and good entertainment with the kid's trying to catch the Easter bunny leaving the eggs. We colored three dozen eggs and filled 4 dozen plastic eggs - not to mention the extra goodies the bunny left behind.
Madalyn is a professional at this point, and was sure to pick up only things she wanted. Beck insisted on hunting with his Spiderman Halloween bucket, and I dressed the boys alike, so I figure he earned it. ;) The kids really enjoyed it, and Bristol got to sample his first 'Peeps' blue chick. He wasn't the biggest fan.
