VIVA Las Vegas!
Knebel's Beauties: Holly, Lauren, Staci and Diana

Reed with his auction purchase
I think I've blogged about it before, but AIDS Services of Austin is one of my audit clients and I absolutely adore the people I work with there. MLR was the marquee sponsor for one of their biggest fundraisers of the year- VIVA Las Vegas. It was a night of dance, casino, and most importantly auctions. Live and Silent. Jeff and I purchased theme park tickets, jewelry, and most importantly a Tracy McGrady 'TMAC' signed outfit. It's a 3XLT and is HUGE. For whatever reason, Jeff decided that he need it, and it's hilarious. Just ask Diana or Reed what NBA stands for. :) Which brings us to Reed's purchases- a purse for Diana, and a silver platter and ashtray that was Ann Richards'. It actually came with a bottle of wine, but Reed thought it was more fitting with a Lone Star beer. We totally agreed.

Beautiful Baby Valeria
Madalyn, Natalie and Brenah
Heather Bendes was kind enough to open her house to us AGAIN for a baby shower. (That'll show her to have a nice house in central Austin.) It was great to see Lesley and see how happy she is that Miss Emily Sophia will be joining us soon. We had a lot of fun playing shower games and I enjoyed getting to debut my mom's punch fountatin from QVC. It was lovely, complete with pink lemonade as everything else was also pink of course! It was nice getting to see all of the old EY crew and meet some of Lesley's new friends. And Emily will be ready for the world with all of the cute clothes and gifts.

Port Aransas
My time with Rocky's family got cut short because I had to leave to go to Port Aransas for the second annual Audit Retreat. I thought it would be hard to out-do last year, but somehow we managed. Beer, Wii bowling, dancing at Sharkey's and more beer. We did actually work a little bit, but this picture of me and Diana taken by me in the 'way back' of my Suburban sums up the Wed-Fri entertainment. The rest of the pictures my harm the innocent, or not so innocent. All I have to say is that MLR is a great place to work and we sure know how to have a good time.
Rocky, Tara, and Emily come to visit
My cousin from South Carolina came with his wife and daughter for a week long visit last week. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed getting to show off Austin since this was their first visit. We visited Cabella's (as you can see by the pics from the shooting range), Schlitterbahn, Sea World, Texas History Museum and the Alamo. I didn't get to attend all of the places, but did enjoy our visit to Freebird's where Rocky made this awesome foil Willie Nelson figure. I think the best part of their visit was just hanging out in the backyard at Mom and Dad's house telling all kinds of stories. As much time as we've spent out there, it was really nice to get to time with just them here. We just hope that they had enough fun to actually come back and visit again.

Adrian and Melissa's Wedding
Our friends Adrian and Melissa got married on Sunday at the Kinningham House in Round Rock. The ceremony was beautiful and you can see that they looked great. I was very honored to be the Maid of Honor for the wedding and have enjoyed the many years of our friendship. I forgot to take my camera out until later in the day, but I had to make sure to get pictures of the cake for my mom. She made the wedding cake as their gift. I wish I would have gotten half of her creative skills! :) Congrats to the newlyweds!
Madalyn's 4th Dance Recital
Madalyn's first go on the Pre-team for Dance Unlimited went really well. We capped off the year with a dance recital at Texas State. Everything was great and Madalyn had a full fan club in attendance including Jessie and Ella who weren't pictured. Madalyn is going to try out for the competition dance team this summer, so wish her luck!
New Camera!
Last Day of School
Well, Madalyn's last day of school was May 30th and 2nd grade was an exciting year. They celebrated the day with an awards ceremony where Madalyn was recognized for perfect attendance and receiving all 'As' for the whole year. We made a deal with her that if she got perfect attendace she would get a Nintendo DS. She hasn't missed a day of school for the last three years and the presents keep stepping up. She finished off the day with a pool party at her friend Jacqueline's.
